A great way to give your new hair style a bit of added pizazz is to throw a bit of hair jewellery into the mix, one of the biggest trends we’ve spotted recently here at Ross Charles.
One of the key styles at the moment is big chunky braids (which couldn’t be easier to recreate at home with just a bit of practice) and people all over the place are now accessorising away to their heart’s content with spikes, cuffs, moons, feathers… the list goes on and on.
If you’ve got a boho wedding to go to this year, then beautiful braids adorned with pins, beads, twists and more is an easy way to make yourself stand out from the crowd (but not too much – you don’t want to detract from the bride, after all).
And if you need a bit of inspiration where your braids are concerned, it’s always a good idea to have a look to see what’s going on in celebrity La La Land. Sarah Michelle Gellar always looks great with a plait (start from the crown of your head and keep plaiting so you end up with a side braid), while Hilary Duff rocks a crown braid really well.
If you spend just a few hours over the weekend practising your plait techniques, it’ll be time well spent and the next time you come to do your hair all fancy like for an event or party, you’ll be able to get your braids done in record time.
And if you need any help whatsoever with your do, come and see the best hair salon in York – Ross Charles!
